Drôme Provençale, in particular, offers a rich palette of wines. These include Côtes du Rhône, including the premier cru “Vinsobres”, AOP Grignan-les-Adhémar, Coteaux des Baronnies, Vin de la Valdaine and Comté de Grignan. Each of these wines has distinct aromas, reflecting its terroir of origin.

The most beautiful walks in the Drôme

The Drôme is a paradise for hikers. With its well-marked trails and exceptional panoramas, it offers an unrivalled hiking experience.

  • Montagne de l’Essaillon: an invitation to soar above the valley. Each step brings you closer to breathtaking panoramas, where the Baronnies hills loom on the horizon, offering an unforgettable natural spectacle.
  • The Col d’Aubenas: starting from Nyons, this loop takes you through winding paths, with a rewarding climb that offers panoramic views of the region.
  • Le Saint-Jaume and Garde Grosse: these two natural gems are not to be missed. The trails wind through lush vegetation and offer views of wild, unspoilt landscapes.

In the same vein, the Circuit de Découverte des Baronnies provençales plunges cyclists into the heart of varied terrain, from dense forests to rocky ridges, over a distance of 38 km.

For those who prefer a more leisurely stroll, the Au fil de l’Eygues circuit is ideal. Following the gentle course of the River Eygues for 15 km, this trail is perfect for a family outing or for beginners. Likewise, the Old Railway Route offers a 14 km historic walk through the Provencal countryside, recalling the days when trains criss-crossed the region.

The Circuit Autour de Nyons is an invitation to discover the local beauty. For 16.7 km, cyclists can admire olive groves, vineyards and charming hilltop villages. For those looking for a little more challenge, the Montagne de Garde Grosse and Essaillon circuits and the Tour de la Montagne de Vaux offer challenging climbs and thrilling descents over distances of 16 km and 21.5 km respectively.

A short walk or bike ride will take you to the village.
Nyons. very pleasant pool. We feel so at home in this campsite that we come here every year for the cousinades in May, and even several times a year when possible.
